KIT LIST FOR TRAVELLING IN CENTRAL AMERICA

 

Jade Templar supplied this kit list after travelling in Central America for two months after her teaching placement in Honduras. She describes the list as ‘things you should always take whilst travelling’.

 

Jade visited Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatamala and Mexico on her travels.

 

Jade lists:
  • Plastic bags and nappy sacks
  • Toe socks – can be worn with flip flops when there are mosquitoes about!
  • Platypus water carrier
  • Music and speakers. Take headphones for plane journeys
  • Waterproof bag liner and cover for the rucksack
  • Torch
  • Padlocks
  • Photo USB memory stick and cable
  • Adaptor for the electricity
  • Insect repellent with more than 50% DEET
  • Cards and dice
  • Ziplock bags
  • Sarong
  • Up to date travel guides (recommend Rough Guide)
  • Sellotape
  • Paper clips
  • Note paper
  • Pens
