Hi, my name is paul

I want to tgake a gap year after 6th form finishes in July 2008. Where should I go?

I will then take History and politics at university. Should I do something relevent to the course.

However, I also want to help others teaching and am very intersted in sport

I have looked at going to Ghana, Kenya or Tanzania. Are there any other options that I have not looked at yet? What are the best things about the countries I am looking at?

Thanks for your help

Paul

Hi Paul,

I have emailed Tim to remind him to take a look at the members area,  He is still in Kenya but is out of town at the moment, and will be back in a few days.  and will probably pick up his emails then.  Nick in Ghana has just left and will be sorting himeslf out for uni now but I will email him too to get back to you.   Have you got a brochure yet?  If you email me on ask@changingworlds.co.uk I can send you one.  Also you must not make up your mind to come with us until you have met us and know more about what we do.  which would be at an interview day You don't have to decide where to go untill after the interview day.  We interview everyone before we offer them a place and you don't decide whether to come with us untill after that.  By then you will have met ex changing worlds volunteers and also been in touch with other volunteers.  You will then be given a pre departure course before you go where you will meet others who are going with you.  The reason our prices are low is because we are a not-for-profit organization and we try to keep costs down as much as we can.  You will need to pay for your own visa, any injections/malaria tablets etc you need and your insurance.  There is a changing worlds rep in every country that we go to and we keep in regular contact with them and visit all our placements once a year.

I hope this helps.  Do email if you have any more questions.
