Some ideas with funraising.....might seem a bit random but depends what ya into...
-Car washing...now that its getting hot and if ya get a load of mates can be a right giggle!
-Dog Walking...exactly how it sounds, walking peoples dogs
-Contact the local paper... get the local paper to do an article on ya, and people who read it can send in donations.
-Contact the local church...churches have lots of money, and my head says this is a great way to get donations, just write to the parish explaining what ya doing, and if they can donate towards the total cost. And just hope.
-Deliveries- I know a couple of guys who just deliver pizza/take away at the weekends and they get a few bob for it...depends if you have transport of not?!?

Yeah definitely try the local paper. Or is there a local radio station as well? If you go to your local radio station website you might be able to send in a message or get to say what you want to do. Good luck
