Hi Oliva

I saw that you wrote about the Brandt Guide, i've heard and read mixed reviews about it, would you seriously recommed it? I'm going out Feb 08 so wanted to have a read before I left to prepare.

Is there anything else you would recommed to read before I left?

Thanks

Hannah

Thanks, i've just ordered it!!

It'd be great to meet up with you when I arrive in Feb.

I'm currently writing to a few trusts/charities and businesses at the moment to ask them for things to take with me for the kids, what kind of things/resources did you take and is there anything you wish you had taken or would recommend?

Thanks

Wkd! :D

There are loads of things i wish i could have brought. You will most likely be teaching at the same school or at least the same age range as me (13- 17 are the ages in my class and be prepared to tach at least 45- 50 of them at once, they can be a handful but its great beacuse they've all got their own personalities).

I wish i could of brought more books for their age range, quite simple reading though as many of them have the english skills of yr 6 rather than their age.

more teaching materials to make the classroom more colourful, they do have some out here, but could do with a lot more.

The girls are loving the stickers i brought to mark their books and any other little things like that they love.

look forward to meeting you,
